Our beautiful thatched chalets are an inspired mix of materials providing sophisticated comfort with traditional African flair.

Our 23 thatched luxury en-suite chalets are a fascinating, inspired blend of traditional Swazi materials and glass pannelled front walls creating a delicious combination of warmth and light. Waterways meander through the indigenous landscaped gardens enclosed by a serpentine braided wattle fence.

Optional extras include packed meals from the Taste of Africa restaurant, Sundowner packages, daily rentals and gillie services (including a boat driver, if required).

The beautiful Maguga Dam is surrounded by gorgeous indigenous bush, has stunning bird life and is well stocked with
Large Mouth Bass (the record catch was + 5kg).

Malolotja National Park Cabins & Camping

Fully equipped, self-catering cabins in Malolotja National Park are available for those wishing to live the high-veld nature experience.

Camping in Malolotja - in the camp site or on the trail is also available. Set in the dramatic Malolotja Mountains, these 13 spacious, self-catering, fully equipped chalets each sleep 4 (with extra loft space for bigger kids). Fireplaces and awesome views enhance the warmth and charm of the national park experience!

There is a communal lapa area as well as picnic sites close by. The well maintained roads are suitable for road cars.
A variety of excursions and packages are available in our game drive vehicles or on foot with or without a guide. Please visit our featured activity link for more information.

Camping, in the campsite with ablution facilities and communal lapa or on the trail (bookings essential!), is also available.

Hawane Backpackers Hostel

Hawane Resort packpackers
Our converted stables make the perfect bunkhouse for the backpackers out there. This beautiful high-ceilinged converted barn has been transformed into a funky dormitory style hostel with showers, toilets and kitchen facilities.

We can stable 36 people in 12 twin rooms - bed configurations are up to the occupants.

Stay at Hawane Resort Backpackers Lodge

We provide the linen, blankets and the gorgeous views. Visitors are welcome to make use of the resort restaurant, babysitting facilities, playground and games rooms.

Our renowned restaurant, run by the well-known Ugandan chef, Richard Wangoolo is not only a culinary delight, It is part of the Hawane experience. Thatch, intertwined wood and our huge central fireplace provide the warmth while our step down glass porch with seating brings in the light.
